Outdoor Education Programme

At Mowgli Venture, we believe that the best classroom is out in nature.

Mowgli’s school programmes are designed to give students meaningful outdoor experiences that blend adventure, education, service learning and personal growth. From short jungle day trips to immersive overnight expeditions, each programme is carefully curated to help young minds disconnect from the city and reconnect with the natural world.

Whether it’s hiking through rainforest trails, learning first-hand from conservation experts or participating in survival and team-building activities, all our experiences are customized to fit the goal of your programme. Our programmes build confidence, resilience, and collaborative skills in a safe and guided environment.

Our Programmes

Outdoor Experiential Programmes

Our Outdoor Experiential Programmes are designed to take learning beyond the classroom and into real-world environments.

From School Camps and multi-day Residential programmes to guided Day-Hikes, each experience is carefully structured to develop confidence, teamwork, and resilience. Students engage in hands-on activities such as trekking, problem-solving challenges, and nature-based exploration — all within a safe and supportive setting.

The Duke of Edinburgh (DofE)

We support schools in delivering the internationally recognised Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award through professionally guided expedition training and assessments.
Our team works closely with schools to prepare students for their qualifying journeys: equipping them with essential skills in navigation, campcraft, risk management, and teamwork. Each expedition is conducted with a strong focus on safety, personal development, and student ownership of the journey.

Service Learning Programmes

Activities include environmental clean-up initiatives, structured volunteer programmes, and hands-on learning from conservation teams working on-ground. Students gain first-hand insight into sustainability challenges while developing empathy, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of their role in protecting the natural world.

These programmes are ideal for schools looking to integrate purpose-driven experiences into their curriculum that align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Culture & History

Immerse students in the rich traditions and heritage of local communities, offering a deeper appreciation of Malaysia’s diverse cultural landscape.

Through interactive experiences such as traditional Bornean cooking with Kenyah and Penan communities, batik painting, and storytelling sessions, students engage directly with local art, customs, and ways of life. These experiences go beyond observation — encouraging respect, curiosity, and meaningful cultural exchange.

Workshops & Talks

Designed to complement current day issues with focused learning sessions led by experienced facilitators and industry practitioners. Topics include waste management, environmental conservation, and creative approaches to sustainability. Sessions are interactive, practical, and tailored to suit different age groups, ensuring students understand key concepts and learn how to apply them in their daily lives.

These workshops are perfect as standalone sessions or as part of a larger programme to reinforce learning outcomes.

Learning Module

Our programmes are built on a strong pedagogy learning method, where students learn through experience, reflection, and application.

Rather than passive instruction, we focus on inquiry-based and experiential learning – encouraging students to ask questions, solve problems, and engage actively with their environment. Each module is intentionally designed to align with educational outcomes while remaining dynamic, hands-on, and relevant beyond the classroom.

Conservation & Sustainability

At the core of our programmes is a commitment to biodiversity focus, conservation & sustainability.

Students are introduced to real environmental challenges and ecosystems, learning how their actions impact the natural world. Through guided activities and discussions, they develop a deeper understanding of conservation principles and sustainable practices – fostering responsibility, awareness, and long-term environmental stewardship.

Science-Integrated Learning

We empower students to contribute meaningfully to conservation & biodiversity efforts on the ground.

Through structured data collection, observation, and collaboration with conservation partners, students participate in real-world environmental work. This hands-on approach not only strengthens scientific thinking but also gives students a sense of purpose – knowing their efforts support ongoing research and protection of natural ecosystems.

Safety & Safeguarding

  • All activities are supported by comprehensive risk assessments, conducted prior to each programme and continuously reviewed on the ground. These assessments identify potential hazards, evaluate risk levels, and implement appropriate control measures to ensure a safe learning environment at all times.
  • Our facilitators are experienced in outdoor leadership and wilderness first-aid response, with clear protocols in place for communication, supervision, and incident management. We maintain appropriate guide-to-student ratios and ensure all participants are properly briefed before each activity.
  • Safeguarding extends beyond physical safety: we prioritise emotional wellbeing, inclusivity, and respect. Our team fosters a supportive environment where students feel secure to fully engage in the experience.
  • Through structured planning and proactive risk management, we provide schools with the confidence that every programme is delivered safely, responsibly, and professionally.
