Kuching Wildlife Discovery

DAY 1

Your journey begins with a private pick-up from either Kuching International Airport or your city accommodation. Settle in as we make our way to a curated lunch at one of Kuching’s local cuisine spots, offering a first taste of Borneo’s authentic flavours.

After lunch, enjoy a smooth check-in to your hotel. Once refreshed, embark on a city tour through Kuching’s most charming corners. Explore the city’s iconic landmarks, discover its colonial heritage, and wander along the picturesque Kuching Waterfront, alongside the Sarawak River. Indulge in the city’s renowned delights – from freshly brewed Sarawak coffee to the famous Kek Lapis (layer cake), as we uncover local gems along the way.

As evening descends, the culinary adventure continues. Choose between a refined dining experience at one of Kuching’s celebrated food streets or an authentic local feast at Rumah Asap, where smoky flavours and lively ambience capture the true spirit of Sarawak nights.

DAY 2

After a hearty breakfast, we check out and journey toward the breathtaking Permai Rainforest Resort, nestled within Santubong National Park. Upon arrival, we begin with a guided jungle walk, an immersive exploration through the thriving tropical ecosystem, where the sounds of cicadas and rustling leaves accompany every step. Emerging from the forest, we’ll enjoy a tranquil lunch at the resort, surrounded by nature’s symphony.

After lunch, check into your forest cabin. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure: unwind by the beach, take a dip in the clear waters, or opt for optional adventures such as kayaking. As the sun sets over Santubong mountain, indulge in a serene dinner by the sea, with a golden horizon. The night then unveils a different world, a guided nocturnal walk in search of the rainforest’s secretive inhabitants. Experience the thrill of herping, spotting snakes, lizards, frogs, spiders, and the elusive colugo that share this habitat with us. The day concludes under a blanket of stars, along the hums of the rainforest.

DAY 3

After breakfast at the resort, we embark on a scenic journey, a 30-minute drive followed by a 30-minute boat ride to reach the legendary Bako National Park, Sarawak’s oldest national park and a natural masterpiece where dramatic coastal cliffs, sandstone formations, and mangrove forests intertwine with extraordinary biodiversity.

Upon arrival, set out on a guided hike through one of Bako’s signature trails, where every turn reveals fascinating flora and fauna from carnivorous pitcher plants to the rare proboscis monkey. Enjoy a packed lunch picnic amid the park’s serene surroundings, a true immersion into Borneo’s wild side.

By mid-afternoon, we journey back by boat and return to Permai Rainforest Resort, where the rest of the day is at leisure. Unwind in your room or by the sea. As night falls, those seeking more adventure may join another nocturnal walk, exploring the resort’s trails to encounter the rainforest’s hidden nighttime residents once again.

DAY 4

Our final morning begins with a delightful breakfast surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest, followed by an exhilarating high ropes course experience. Glide through the treetops on a zipline, test your balance among towering canopies, and channel your inner Tarzan as you swing through the jungle.

After the adventure, return to your room to freshen up and check out before lunch. We conclude the journey with a smooth transfer to Kuching International Airport, carrying with us memories of rainforest magic, coastal serenity, and the spirit of adventure that defines Sarawak.
